Apple has released a new version of its Configurator application which contains improvements and bug fixes, including a tweak for Apple TV users.

According to the release notes accompanying Apple Configurator 1.4.2, the update improves configuration and MDM enrollment of Apple TV set-top boxes, and fixes an issue that causes the app to unexpectedly quit under OS X Mavericks.

Apple says the update also features the changes from build 1.4.1, including the ability to enroll multiple unsupervised devices in MDM without tapping each device using a new Setup tab in Prepare, and to complete Setup Assistant and enroll Apple TV in MDM without using the remote.

Users can also employ the new Apple Configurator to determine which Setup Assistant steps will display during device setup. The new version includes an improved UI for installing a single profile on unsupervised devices, and offers support for new iOS 7 features and restrictions.
