ChilliFresh, an iPhone developer, claims to have received an email from Apple indicating that its Wobble iBoobs application had been pulled from the App Store. The reason was too much transparency, as far as the adult content was concerned. Apparently, it was the very people that downloaded the app that complained.

The email received by Jon Atherton, the developer behind the aforementioned application, reveals that this is a new policy at Apple, regarding such content. As usual, Apple is lagging behind in removing similar apps, but the company generally deals with them all, as soon as they undergo a more thorough investigation. Apple’s email to Jon Atherton has been reproduced below, in its entirety (courtesy of TechCrunch).

The App Store continues to evolve, and as such, we are constantly refining our guidelines. Your application, Wobble iBoobs (Premium Uncensored), contains content that we had originally believed to be suitable for distribution. However, we have recently received numerous complaints from our customers about this type of content, and have changed our guidelines appropriately.

We have decided to remove any overtly [adult] content from the App Store, which includes your application.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter. If you believe you can make the necessary changes so that Wobble iBoobs (Premium Uncensored) complies with our recent changes, we encourage you to do so and resubmit for review.

Sincerely, iPhone App Review

Softpedia note

By noting that it is constantly refining its guidelines, Apple also eludes potential fire from the media, which bashes the company with every chance it gets for overlooking similar, yet-unblocked content. With over 150,000 applications living in the App Store, even Apple can’t iron out every “bug” in time. Additionally, the company is constantly adding, eliminating and / or changing policies, in an effort to establish a system that benefits all, while not discriminating anyone.
