“The unique uncensored marketplace for apps” to launch March 15th

As Apple continues to ban or remove apps from its well established digital distribution venue known internationally as “the App Store”, BannedAppMarket.com hopes to become the next stop for all apps, especially those banned by Apple, “using the least amount of discrimination.”

The people who are currently building the service for its March 15 debut acknowledge that “the removal of apps because of malware, spying, hacking and privacy issues is understandable and necessary, but sometimes it appears that apps are removed to appease business and associated partners, or some other inexplicable rationale.”

That’s more or less true if you ask those who actually make profits in the iTunes App Store, but Banned App Market does sound interesting.

It promises to give customers the opportunity to decide what they want on their mobile device, not Apple. It also accepts banned Android apps.

The site will be a commerce and exchange center for all apps that have been “challenged, removed or not accepted by Apple's App Store and Android app marketplaces,” say its founders.

It will boast a database of the most desirable banned apps removed due to customer complaints about nudity, provocative content, etc.

Harmon Cogert, managing director of the Banned App Market, a division of Betafriend Ltd., says, "Many developers that want the right to express their creativity and uncensored ingenuity now have an outlet. The company policy of free listing of the apps and immediate direct payment to developers makes the Market extremely significant for them."

“Almost 1,000,000 smartphones and tablet apps have succeeded in being promoted by the App Store and Android Market; however, consumers and creators seeking full freedom of deliberation of apps for their device, with no blacklisting, find it at BannedAppMarket.com, which avoids most restrictive policies and rules,” reads the company’s press release.

Over at BannedAppMarket.com visitors will find a conveniently placed Suggestion Box where anyone can drop off a message containing links (perhaps even a binary) for the founders to consider. The company encourages app developers who wish to have their apps posted on the site to “contact BannedAppMarket.com promptly.”
