Apple is very curious to know how people are using their iPads, now that they’ve had a few weeks to play with the device in various situations. The company is inviting customers to participate in a survey, asking them how they like the iPad, whether they’ve neglected their iPods or eReaders in favor of the tablet device, and more.

The survey is comprised of 50 questions, more than enough for Apple to make an idea of how iPads are used in the wild, but also enough to annoy customers.

“We love feedback,” Apple says. “Please complete this 15-minute iPad survey,” the company states in the email sent out to iPad buyers. “Thank you for your recent purchase of an iPad,” the message continues. “Please take a few minutes to complete this survey to help us understand your purchase. Your response will remain completely confidential, and results will be viewed only in aggregate. We value and appreciate your input. Thank you for participating. Apple.”

Apple touts the iPad as a revolutionary device for browsing the web, reading and sending email, viewing photos, watching videos, listening to music, playing games, reading e-books and more. “iPad is our most advanced technology in a magical and revolutionary device at an unbelievable price,” CEO Steve Jobs said when Apple introduced the device to the world. “iPad creates and defines an entirely new category of devices that will connect users with their apps and content in a much more intimate, intuitive and fun way than ever before.”

Although the company delivered over 500,000 iPads during the platform’s first week in the wild, demand proved far higher than Apple had predicted. Faced with this surprisingly strong demand in the US, Apple announced on April 14 that it was to postpone the international launch of the iPad by one month, until the end of May. It informed today that the Wi-Fi + 3G version of the iPad would be delivered to US customers who had pre-ordered on Friday, April 30. The device will also be available in Apple retail stores on the same day.
