The next round of Mavericks betas has been announced through a memo from Cupertino signaling that AppleSeed customers will soon be enrolled in the next testing phase automatically. OS X 10.9.4 doesn’t have a definitive launch date set, but it has been confirmed as the next major system update for Mavericks users.

In a memo addressing registrants of the OS X Beta Seed program, Apple begins with a big “thank you” to all beta participants, adding that OS X 10.9.3 has been released with great success, partially thanks to public testers involved with the initiative.

“Thank you. The 10.9.3 Software Update has been released. The final version of 10.9.3 (13D65) is now publicly posted and available through the Updates tab in the Mac App Store.”

The Mac maker urges testers to note that the latest beta they received has been superseded by the latest public build, and therefore everyone should update to the latter build. Apple explains that users might need to refresh their Mac App Store’s Updates tab to get the newer version.

“Please note: The released version (13D65) is later than the last seeded build (13D61). Please go to the Mac App Store, click on the Updates button, select Reload Page (⌘-R) from the Store menu, and install the 13D65 update, as it contains critical fixes not in 13D61.”

The Cupertino giant continues to extend a big thank you to everyone who participated in the 10.0.3 beta, adding that people who want to continue testing will now receive OS X 10.9.4 automatically.

“We appreciate your participation. Many bugs and issues have been discovered as a result of your efforts. You have helped contribute to the overall quality of our product. We realize that testing may have involved a great deal of time on your part to submit bugs, submit follow-up information, and re-install software along with your daily work. Thank you for your dedication.”

“You will be automatically enrolled in the next beta project, OS X Mavericks Software Update 10.9.4,” the company concludes.

It is currently unclear what OS X 10.9.4 brings to the table in terms of new features and fixes, but Apple is known to have seeded a couple of alpha builds internally, meaning that the beta phase should commence any time this week.

Customers who haven’t yet signed up to receive the betas can visit the OS X Beta Seed Program page on Apple’s web site, accept the Beta Seed and Confidentiality Agreement, join the program, and Apple will provide a Beta Access Utility for their Mac, which offers unrestricted access to pre-release versions of OS X in the Mac App Store’s Updates tab.
