Apple has added 10 additional languages to iTunes Connect, bringing the total number of supported languages to 25.

Via the News and Announcements section on developer.apple.com, the Cupertino computer giant addresses developers with the following message:

“Now you have more ways to reach millions of users around the world. We have expanded language support in iTunes Connect, so you can localize app metadata, keywords, and screenshots in 10 new languages: Traditional Chinese, Norwegian, Turkish, Finnish, Danish, Indonesian, Malay, Thai, Vietnamese, and Greek.”

Developers are told to download and review the iTunes Connect Developer Guide for details on adding new localizations, as well as to access Internationalization and Localization to learn about other resources.

If you’re an iOS or Mac developer, Apple believes your app deserves a global audience: “Distribute apps in more than 120 countries. Localize apps for more than 40 languages. iOS and OS X make it easy,” says the Mac maker.

On the new Internationalization section, Apple informs developers that “The App Store and Mac App Store are available in over 120 countries, support 40 languages, and have the ability to handle international payment, currency conversion, taxation, and global distribution — making it easy for you to expand your business by selling apps to millions of users around the world.”

The company further explains that bots operating systems are multilingual – “designed to work for users in their language of choice,” and that both are built on technologies that make localizing multilingual apps a breeze.

This includes “high quality extended fonts, support for typographic features, language specific input methods and auto-correction dictionaries, and keyboards that are customized for more than 50 languages.”

Alain Pakiry, VP Marketing at TomTop said, “We have now a strong presence in key – in development – markets such as Brazil, Russia, Turkey, Mexico and Eastern Europe. We are able to communicate to our customers directly, by speaking their language and celebrating their local holidays. Furthermore, the availability of all these locales has increased our revenue opportunity by 25%.”
