Apple has announced “Important Affiliate Program Changes for Europe and South America,” informing application sellers that the affiliate network partner for these areas is now PHG.

A brief memo on the Apple Developer portal reads, “If you are currently participating in the Affiliate Program in Europe or South America, you will now be supported by the affiliate network partner PHG, and gain access to improved reporting tools.”

Application sellers who don’t want their commission interrupted must set up a new affiliate account and update all existing links by the end of March 2014.

On its Affiliate Resources site Apple also reveals that it has expanded support of its Affiliate Program to 33 new countries, all added on the PHG platform.

“Also, as part of our expansion two weeks ago into Europe and South America, we added six more countries that had previously not been supported. Over 100 countries are now supported,” the company reveals.

Apple’s Affiliate Program allows you to link to songs, apps, and other iTunes content, in exchange for a commission. You’ll be given some tools to fully integrate store links and content into apps or sites.

“The affiliate program provides a unique way for your website or app to link to millions of songs and thousands of apps — as well as books, movies, TV shows and more while earning commissions on qualifying sales,” Apple says.

“Apply now to join the program and earn commissions when you link to music, apps, books and more on iTunes, App Store, iBooks and the Mac App Store.”

The affiliate resource site allows interested parties to stay on top of any new changes, as well as to learn about advanced tools like the Enterprise Partner Feed (EPF) or the Search API. To join the program now, interested parties can visit Apple’s Affiliates area.
