Apple has confirmed that a new retail store is set to open its doors in Chicago’s Lincoln Park on Saturday, October 23 at 10:00 a.m. CDT. It will be a Grand Opening, meaning the event will be marked with freebies and other cool stuff.

The report in question goes to include information on Apple’s retail stores, such as the importance of these establishments for the Apple fanbase.

Visitors can “learn about all the latest products from Apple, including the redesigned iPod nano featuring Apple’s Multi-Touch interface, the new iPod shuffle with both clickable “ring” buttons and VoiceOver technology, and the new iPod touch packed with incredible new features including Apple’s stunning Retina display, Apple’s A4 chip, FaceTime video calling, HD video recording and Game Center,” the report reads.

“Customers can experience Apple’s entire product line hands-on including iPhone 4, the thinnest smartphone in the world with the highest resolution display ever built into a phone, and the updated iMac line with Intel Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 processors,” adds Apple.

Finally, “Visitors to the store can also try the magical iPad that lets users browse the web, read and send email, enjoy and share photos, watch videos, listen to music, play games, read ebooks and much more,” reads the press release.

The report then includes information on the actual services available via the Mac maker’s retail outlets, including “face-to-face support and advice at the Genius Bar, hands-on workshops and special programs for kids.”

The One to One program is also mentioned (available to customers who buy a Mac at the Apple Retail Store or Apple’s Online Store), alongside the $99 Personal Setup for customers who wish to customize their computer and transfer files from their old Mac or PC.

The service also includes a year of Personal Training sessions and Personal Project support.

For those who wish to attend the grand opening of the new Lincoln Park store, the address is Apple Store, Lincoln Park, 801 W. North Avenue, Chicago, IL 60642.
