Apple is gearing up to announce how many i-things it has sold in its second quarter of fiscal 2011 in a conference call scheduled to go live this Wednesday, April 20 at 2:00 p.m. PDT/5:00 p.m. EDT, the Mac maker said today.

WHAT: Apple® FY 11 Second Quarter Results Conference Call

WHERE: Via conference call. The dial-in number for press is (888) 215-6982 (toll-free) or (913) 312-0672

WHEN: Wednesday, April 20, 2011, 2:00 p.m. PDT/5:00 p.m. EDT

In usual Apple manner, the conference call will be available as a continuous rebroadcast beginning Wednesday, April 20 at 5:00 p.m. PDT/8:00 p.m. EDT through Wednesday, May 4 at 5:00 p.m. PDT/8:00 p.m. EDT.

Apple has provided those who wish to attend the dial-in number for the rebroadcast as well as the confirmation code.

Live audio streaming of the FY 11 Second Quarter Results Conference Call will be provided using Apple’s QuickTime multimedia software at www.apple.com/quicktime/qtv/earningsq211.

The call will also be available for replay for approximately two weeks thereafter.

Interested parties will need to pack either an iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, or any Mac or PC running QuickTime 6 or QuickTime 7, Apple said.

Cupertino also outlines in its special report that the Q2 FY 2011 recording is the property of Apple and protected by U.S. copyright law and international treaties.

Excepting prior written approval from Apple, any reproduction or distribution of the recording is strictly prohibited.

Over at the QuickTime site, the Mac maker completes the formalities by outlining that “comments made during this call may include forward-looking statements that are subject to risks and uncertainties, and that actual results may differ materially from these forward-looking statements.”
