Via its PR section, Apple is officially announcing the FY 11 First Quarter Results Conference Call set to air Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 2:00 p.m. PST/5:00 p.m. EST through its QuickTime multimedia software.

In December, 2010, Softpedia reported that Apple had confirmed plans to hold a conference call in mid-January, the following year, with the purpose of disclosing financial results for the company’s first fiscal quarter for 2011.

The Mac maker used its Investor Relations website to state, “Apple plans to conduct a conference call to discuss financial results of its first fiscal quarter on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. PT.”

Apple assured those who wouldn't be attending the conference call as it unfolds that a link to the webcast would be provided at a later date. Today, the company confirmed such plans via the following announcement:

WEBCAST: Apple will provide live audio streaming of its FY 11 First Quarter Results Conference Call using Apple’s industry-leading QuickTime® multimedia software. The live webcast will begin at 2:00 p.m. PST on January 18, 2011 at www.apple.com/quicktime/qtv/earningsq111 and will also be available for replay for approximately two weeks thereafter. Viewers simply need a copy of QuickTime, available for download from www.apple.com/quicktime, to listen to the conference call.

As usual, Apple will be making the conference call available as a continuous rebroadcast beginning Tuesday, January 18 at 5:00 p.m. PST/8:00 p.m. EST through Tuesday, February 1 at 5:00 p.m. PST/8:00 p.m. EST.
