Apple is airing the very first iPhone 4S commercial in the U.S. promoting (what else if not) Siri, the personal assistant app that lets you use your handset to send messages, schedule meetings, place phone calls, and find out stuff about the world around you.

The commercial (also embedded above) shows off some of the key functions of Siri, such as looking up directions via Google Maps, how to make a tie knot, checking the weather, setting a reminder based on location, playing music from the iPhone, sending text messages etc.

On the iPhone 4S marketing page, Cupertino advertises Siri saying “Ask Siri to do things just by talking the way you talk. Siri understands what you say, knows what you mean, and even talks back. Siri is so easy to use and does so much, you’ll keep finding more and more ways to use it.”
