Apple’s iPad-native Keynote application has been unceremoniously updated to version 1.3.1, following a bigger 1.3 update that enhanced presenter display, along with other neat enhancements.

The Keynote iPad app is a stripped-down version of the Mac OS X original application included with the iLife suite, alongside Pages and Numbers.

Priced at $9.99 and available as an individual download for all iPad users (now also available as an individual desktop app for Mac App Store users), Keynote is a powerful presentation application that “makes creating a world-class presentation, complete with animated charts and transitions, as simple as touching and tapping.”

According to the Cupertino, California-based giant Keynote for iPad has everything one needs to create amazing presentations.

Tools range from beautiful themes designed in-house by Apple, and custom graphic styles, to stunning animations and effects.

Keynote 1.3.1 can hardly even be called a maintenance release, as the only change it delivers is a minor bug fix.

“Fixed an issue with the predictive text menu when using Chinese or Japanese characters,” the documentation reads.

For those who hadn’t yet upgraded to Keynote 1.3, Apple also includes the following changes from the latest update:

Included in version 1.3: - Enhanced presenter display shows the current slide, the next slide, or your notes when connected to an external display. - Ability to import existing and add new presenter notes to slides. - Wireless printing with AirPrint using iOS 4.2, including slide range selection, number of copies, and duplex printing. - Support for iOS 4.2 multitasking. - Localized in Brazilian Portuguese, Danish, Finnish, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Swedish, and Traditional Chinese. - Improved reliability when importing Keynote ’09 and Microsoft PowerPoint presentations. - Improved usability. - Fixed issues when using a WebDAV  server, including signing out when a server is no longer accessible, saving port numbers in server addresses, and saving files with invalid characters in their names. - Improved PDF export using iOS 4.2, which resolves an issue with missing fonts on Windows.
