Apple’s Employee Purchase Program (EPP) now includes the latest generation of iMacs which have seen production issues for several months. Apple is now getting good yield rates from assemblers, and is now allowing employees to get discounts on the new systems.

The Employee Purchase Program is a perk offered by the Cupertino giant to “current and retired employees, contractors, members and family members of participating companies, and other organizations,” according to the company’s website.

Staffers, including retail employees, can get 25 percent off a 2012 iMac, while long-term employees also receive an allowance of $500 towards a new Mac once every three years.

Apple currently sells the base iMac model for $1,299 in the US and €1,349 across Europe. A 25 percent discount may not sound like much, but considering the quality of the systems and the powerful all-in-one specs, a sub-$1000 sleek iMac sounds like a bargain.
