Apple informs via a Support document that it has discovered video problems with a relatively small number of MacBook Pro configurations, and that the company is working on a fix.

According to a new Support document posted online by the Cupertino Mac maker, “…a small number of MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010) computers may intermittently stop displaying video on the built-in display or on an external display connected to the MacBook Pro.”

The company says that, should this occur with your system, “you may also see a restart warning message before the video is lost or the display turns black or gray.”

The affected computers were manufactured between April 2010 and February 2011,” according to the article. A workaround is not available, but the company encourages users to keep their software up to date.
