Yesterday we reported that Apple had published new knowledge base articles on some of the issues bugging iLife '09 users, particularly those using iPhoto and iWeb. Today, Apple has posted information on a new issue that may occur with iWeb, as well as the resolution.

On its Support section, Apple reveals that users of iWeb '08 version 2.0.4 or iWeb '09 who want to publish their website to MobileMe, may encounter an issue where they will be unable to publish directly to the cloud-based service. “Your website may also seem to be missing content if you view it on a Windows-based computer,” the Mac maker adds.

Affected products include iWeb '08 (2.x) and iWeb '09, according to the document. One resolution, Apple says, would be to choose Quit from the iWeb File menu, open a new Finder window, navigate to your home folder and drag the following files to the Trash:

~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iWeb.plist

~/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.iWeb

(You may see several of these files, and they may contain a 12-digit number. Remove them all, Apple says)

~/Library/Caches/iWeb/
(Drag the iWeb folder to the Trash.)

“After you have removed the files, republish your website,” the instructions continue. “In iWeb '09, choose Publish Entire Site from the File menu. If you are using iWeb '08, choose Publish All to MobileMe from the File menu,” Apple advises users.

MobileMe automatically pushes new email, contacts and calendar events to your Mac, PC, iPhone and iPod touch, and makes sure all your information stays up to date across all your devices. The changes you make on one device are automatically "pushed" to the MobileMe "cloud," then back to every device you use. Besides push email, push calendar and push contacts, MobileMe also offers web applications at me.com, a MobileMe Gallery for photo sharing, MobileMe iDisk for online document access and 20GB of online storage, for a monthly fee. MobileMe replaces .Mac.

I have had issues with iWeb publishing first to a file on my desktop, then uploading content to my site with FTP client, Filezilla. When opened in my browser, the saved html files read correctly, as created . However, the page is dramatically different when uploaded onto the net and browsed with the very same app (Firefox) as the saved file . Text is now black not white as I designed, font is changed to times new roman from arial and some text is left justified not centred as I wish.
It looked like an easy program at first but now I've spent more time rectifying issues than if I had used another app.
Please can someone help.
