In a new Support entry over at its web site, Apple is detailing a bit of a flaw with the iPad version of its awesome music making app, GarageBand. Apparently, there’s no promised fix, but there's a workaround.

According to the technote, GarageBand fans using an Apogee Jam may have problems switching audio: “If you are using an Apogee Jam and you connect or remove external speakers or headphones from the headphone jack, audio may not switch to play through the built in speaker, external speakers, or headphones,” the company says.

There’s a “resolution” for this, according to the Mac maker: “Restart the device to resolve this issue.”

I’d label this as a workaround rather than a resolution. But hey, at least it doesn’t blow up your iPad or delete your saved projects. By the way, check out the new iPhone / iPod touch version.
