Sources inform that, for a certain period of time, Apple’s Downloads section listed ‘iWork ‘09’ as available. Although not officially announced yet, iWork, along with iMovie and other apps in the iLife suite are rumored to get big updates come the Macworld 2009 keynote.

Thanks to a couple of eagle-eyed Apple fans, both TUAW and MacDailyNews were able to confirm the presence of iWork '09 in the download list on Apple's web site. The sources thoughtfully took screenshots of the listing, one of which you can glance at to the left (click to enlarge).

Last week, reliable sources allegedly told the folks at 9to5mac that Apple’s iWork suite of office applications, along with iMovie, were moving into the Cloud, becoming full-fledged web applications. Besides online storage, there will supposedly be a web interface for iWork apps, such as Numbers, Pages and Keynote. The source dug up an old statement of Apple's CEO, Steve Jobs, who noted in the past that “The MobileMe launch clearly demonstrates that we have more to learn about Internet services. And learn we will. […] The vision of MobileMe is both exciting and ambitious, and we will press on to make it a service we are all proud of by the end of this year.”

As avid Softpedia readers already know, Apple's last Macworld keynote presentation is delivered by Phil Schiller. The company's senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing is expected to make quite some announcements, including a quadruple of iMacs, as well as a refreshed Mac mini. Some suggest that the missing member in Apple's unibody family – the  17-inch MacBook Pro – is awaiting behind the black curtains for Phill to unveil it.

So, what do you think: was the iWork '09 a typo, or has Apple spilled its own beans by mistake?
