14 DAY TRIAL // Apple is encouraging holders of a Developer ID to nominate apps that they think deserve an Apple Design Award this year.
“The 2012 Apple Design Awards recognize state of the art iOS and OS X apps that reflect the very best in design, innovation, and technology adoption,” says Apple. “Join us as we celebrate developers and their outstanding work.”
Developers must keep some characteristics in mind when submitting their nominations, such as an engaging interface, intuitive functionality, technologies that take advantage of the latest hardware and OS releases, extensive system integration and, of course, originality.
Apple will be inclined to choose apps that are “revolutionary, inspiring, and do things in new and creative ways.” To see last year’s winners, visit the Mac maker's developer site here.
