Apple's Prices for Refurbished Macs

The company announced the prices for the reconditioned systems

Apple announced today the new prices for the refurbished Macs, sustaining all the products are reconditioned and available at special prices. All the new

products are available on the Apple store and can be acquired by the users from every corner of the world. The company sells Inter-based Mac minis at $649 and Power Mac G5 workstations at $1.599, both including a double-layer SuperDrive (DVD R DL/DVD�RW/CD-RW) and built-in AirPort Extreme with Bluetooth 2.0 abilities as macnn reported today.

The refurbished Intel-based Mac has the following specifications: 1.66GHz Intel Core Duo with 512MB memory and 80GB HDD. "Apple's refurbished Power Mac G5 desktops include the Dual 2GHz system with 512MB of memorym a 160GB hard drive, and an NVIDIA GeForce 6600 LE (128MB) graphics card for $1,599; the Dual 2.3GHz model with 512MB of memory, a 250GB hard drive, and an NVIDIA GeForce 6600 (256MB) graphics card for $1,999; and the Quad 2.5GHz system with 512MB of memory, a 250GB hard drive, and an NVIDIA GeForce 6600 (256MB) graphics card for $2,699," macnn sustained.

The announcement comes after only one day since a MacBook owner posted a message on a forum to inform other members that his system's battery caused an impressive fire into his house. Although it seems like the battery was over heated, the Apple representatives said they will visit the owner to replace the damaged laptop with a new one. Some time ago, Apple decided to stop the distribution of the Mac batteries because the experts sustained they might get over heated and cause dangerous fire flames, just like the case I mentioned.
