Video game developer Blizzard has revealed that it would include a new option in the upcoming 1.0.5 patch for Diablo III which will allow any player to appear offline to everyone on his friends list on Battle.net, even if he is actually logged in and playing.

The new option is designed to allow players to play titles like Diablo III, World of Warcraft and Starcraft II without having to worry about being contacted at an inopportune moment by their friends.

When patch 1.0.5 arrives, the option will only be applied to Diablo III and those who also want it for World of Warcraft and Starcraft II will have to wait until after the launch of the Mists of Pandaria and the Heart of the Swarm expansions.

Patch 1.0.5 for Diablo III will also introduce a number of changes linked to the gameplay, including modifications to crowd control and to how defense and survivability work.
