After being rejected by Apple, AppShopper is back in the iTunes App Store in a new and improved form which no longer conflicts with the Cupertino giant's rules and regulations.

The original AppShopper app was removed by Apple because it went against a few rules introduced in 2012.

“Since that time we’ve been hard at work creating a new app to continue to provide useful functionality to our users and also remain in compliance with Apple’s rules,” AppShopper writes on its blog.

“Today, we’re happy to announce that we’ve released AppShopper Social,” it adds.

“The new version of the app still contains the core Wish List functionality that we’ve always had, but also introduces a social discovery portion to the app,” the company reveals.

The new AppShopper app isn’t an update but a separate title altogether, meaning if you have the old one installed, you’ll be stuck with two AppShopper apps now.

Since it’s called AppShopper Social, you might have already guessed it’s got some social features to offer.

The UI is now comprised of your Friend Stream, which features apps added by your friends to their Wish List or My Apps lists.

You also get Twitter Integration, and the ability to add any app to your personal Wish List in order to get notified of price changes, updates, etc. (by email or by push notification).

My Apps keeps track of the apps you already own, and the Wish List and My Apps list automatically sync with AppShopper.com. iPhone 5 is fully supported. An iPad-native interface has yet to be added.

AppShopper says there’s more good stuff on the way.

“This is 1.0 release. We have many features to add, but wanted to get something out to our users as quickly as we could. iPad support also in the works.”
