Leading Do It Yourself mobile application creation platform AppMakr.com announced at CES 2011 that is is expanding the support of its rapid application creation platform to Android and Windows Phone 7 operating systems.

The availability of the AppMakr platform for these mobile operating systems makes the software the only DIY application creation platform that enables the creation of apps for Windows Phone, Android and iOS without coding.

Mobile OSes are becoming increasingly popular on the market today, and both companies and developers are looking at the creation of appealing mobile interactions that would also support multiple platforms.

The AppMakr platform has been already used for the building of some over 3,500 applications, such as very popular iTunes software for the PGA Tour, the Perez Hilton blog, the Harvard Business Review, BBC, and PBS, the company notes.

“Mobile is the new frontier for news content, and our users rely on the PBS NewsHour app for news video, audio, and in-depth analysis,” said Travis Daub, creative Director of the PBS NewsHour.

“No segment of our audience is growing faster than mobile. We’re absolutely thrilled that AppMakr is extending support for Android and Windows Phone 7. We will be able to rapidly roll out new apps and updates to support even more devices, and greatly expand our mobile reach. ”

AppMakr’s innovative and intuitive technology enables any user to come up with an application for consumers or even for enterprise users.

Moreover, the entire process or creating an app would take only several minutes, while the platform would also enable interested people to compile the software, and then upload it an application store like iTunes, Windows Phone Marketplace and Android Market at no charge.

“Mobility has long passed the point of ‘check-box’ for companies wishing to engage business users and consumers,” said Sean Shadmand, President, AppMakr.

“The mobile channel is the fastest growing new communication channel, and as it evolves, applications demand more collaborative and social components that enable rich and meaningful interactions. AppMakr is committed to the social evolution of mobility, and enabling anyone, regardless of job function or technical expertise, to turn their unique vision into reality.”
