"FATAL::Unable to process your request. Please try again"

Users on Apple’s forums are reporting an error incurred when they attempt to log into the App Store, either on their Macs or on their iOS devices. Apple seems to be aware of the problem, but it has yet to fix the issue.

The error trickles in on iPhones, iPads, Macs, and anything that should normally display the iOS App Store, the Mac App Store, the iTunes Store, and the iBooks Store.

Some users are getting an error that says, “FATAL::Unable to process your request. Please try again,” while others are reporting one that reads, “This Apple ID cannot be used for the iTunes Store. Please enter another Apple ID.”

A MacRumors forum user who reportedly contacted AppleCare got an answer from the company that indicated it was aware of “ongoing problems with Apple ID logins.” Apple’s system status page thus far doesn’t acknowledge the problem.
