In light of Apple approving promo codes that developers are now allowed to pass out to anyone, a creative developer thought about offering a “buy one, get one free” deal on his app. And he actually did.

Fifth Ace Productions is giving away 20 of its maximum 50 promo codes available for purchasers of its iPhone game, Hexy. You will need a screenshot of your iTunes Receipt, which you must send to  the developer for authentication. Hexy will give you a code, in return. More details can be found here.

Hexy is s simple puzzle game for iPhone and iPod touch. To win, you must build a bridge connecting the two sides of the board, while blocking the opponent from doing the same thing. You can take on either a friend, or Buzzy, the Hexy artificial intelligence. From the iTunes App Store, the official description of the game goes:

Experience addictive strategy gameplay with Hexy: it's easy to learn, challenging to master, and impossible to put down!
