Summer is coming and tradition dictates that any and all IT companies refresh their product lines with newer, better and more resilient products. Portable storage-solution developers even have an extra reason to do their best, considering that people usually travel more during the summer than during other seasons and, thus, should find much use for portable HDDs and flash drives. Knowing this, Walton Chaintech has come forth and presented three Apogee-branded flash drives.

The three devices made official by the company are the Apogee S Series (S101 and S102) and the Apogee Neo Squeeze Plus. All three are meant for business users and those that spare no expense when it comes to quality. They have capacities between 2GB and 16GB and operate on the USB 2.0 interface, at read and write speeds of over 3MB/s and over 2MB/s, respectively.

“Differently from the previous launch of N Series specifically adapted with the luxury image, the APGOΣΣNeo Squeeze Plus and APOGΣΣS101 and S102 mainly target on the business executives and users who value the best,” the press release states.

The Apogee Neo Squeeze Plus uses a push-up and cap-less design with anodizing surface treatment and measures 57.5 x 19 x 8.8 mm (L.W.H.), whereas the S101 measures 55.5 x 21.8 x 10.2 mm and has a push-up sideway, cap-less design with discharge electricity surface treatment and round edges. The S102 has a bullet-shaped design, uses a metal-quality surface treatment. When required for longer periods of usage, it can be opened with a twist. The flash drive also boasts a Chip On Board System in Packaging design, which confers water, shock and dust resistance.

All three models have a light and compact housing design and weigh 20g, except for the S102, which weighs only 12g, thanks to the COB SiP. All have been subjected to “APOGΣΣ's strict testing procedure and reliability standards in order to provide users the best quality and performance.” Prices, unfortunately, are still a mystery.
