Apache Tomcat 8.0.0 RC3, an open source software implementation of the Java Servlet and JavaServer Pages technologies, developed under the Java Community Process, has been released and is available for testing.

The Apache Tomcat Project has announced the third Release Candidate for the latest branch of Apache, bringing a lot of interesting features.

New resources have been implemented to replace Aliases, VirtualLoader, VirtualDirContext, JAR resources, and external repositories, not to mention the fact that Apache now switches to the asynchronous logger and one line formatted by default.

Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
