Apache Tomcat, an open source software implementation of the Java Servlet and JavaServer Pages technologies, developed under the Java Community Process, is now at version 7.0.47.

After a short hiatus, a new version of the popular Apache solution has been released with a few changes and improvements.

Highlights of Apache Tomcat 7.0.47 (violetagg):

• A few regression with the legacy WebSocket implementation in NIO and APR connectors have been corrected; • A hang observed with Java 6 on the Windows platform that occurred when stopping the Tomcat process via CTRL-C, has been corrected; • The NOTICE files are now corrected according to the NOTICE files requirement; • The APR/native connector has been updated to version 1.1.29.
