The market for flash-based storage solutions is growing at a fast pace, with an increasing number of new solutions being launched on the market every day. One of the most recent products comes from Apacer, which has recently updated its line of Solid State Drives with the introduction of the new 2.5-inch A7 Turbo. The new SSD has been designed to provide users with a high-performance storage alternative to today's
traditional hard drives, as well as some of the currently available SSDs, boasting impressive read and write speeds. According to Apacer, the A7 Turbo is ready to provide support to both professional and gaming users.

“For those power users who pursue the maximum computing performance, conventional drives are always a bottleneck due to innate limitations,” an executive of Apacer said. “The random read/write performance of A7 Turbo SSD is 5 to 6 times higher than conventional 5400rpm drives. You will have an entirely different experience of extreme speed no matter you're doing professional works or playing games.”

Like some of the most recent SSDs on the market, the Apacer A7 Turbo has been featured with high read and write speeds, while also providing users with a high level of power efficiency. According to available details, the A7 Turbo sports a 2.5-inch form factor, supported by today's portable computer systems, combined with a SATA II interface. The drive is available in capacities of 128GB and 256GB, boasting 128MB of cache memory. With read and write speeds being set at 230MB/s and 200MB/s, the drive should deliver an impressive performance level, while consuming only 0.26W.

The Apacer A7 Turbo is expected to become available “soon,” according to the company, which will also include the SSD+ Optimizer, a tool designed to execute disk optimization in the background to prevent file fragmentation and consequently extend the drive's life.
