When you choose to name something after the Thunderbird, especially a memory series, people are bound to expect great performance heights and speeds.

Sure enough, the new series of DDR3 memory products from Apacer live up to the reputation of those legendary birds of America, that rule the sky with their ability to change its color and summon hurricanes and thunderstorm just by spreading their wings.

The new memory modules have 8-layer PCBs and high-quality, aluminum heatspreaders (wing-shaped, with a special aluminum sculpture of a flying Thunderbird).

These allow them to operate at DDR3-2933 MHz clock frequency without overheating.

Further overclocking should be manageable as well, depending on what other cooling components the buyer's desktop happens to employ.

Prospective customers will have to decide between four heatspreader colors when ordering. Sadly, the prices of the Thunderbird memory modules are unknown.
