Apacer announced the launch of yet another flash drive called the Handy Steno AH421 and according to the manufacturing company this new flash memory stick is ReadyBoost compatible and it also comes with a design which should make it easier to use on a day to day basis. One of the most encountered problems with different brands of flash drives is that they sometimes block an additional USB port or
stick out from the computer being exposed to accidents.

The new Apacer flash drive takes care of the two problems as it comes with an innovative design which allows it to lay flat against the computer casing and because the adapter can swivel, the whole drive may be easily moved in one direction or another. The Apacer Handy Steno AH421 flash drive is compatible with the high speed USB version 2.0 and it is certified to works seamlessly with it, just like it will work with host computer systems that are using the older and slower USB version 1.1. On the technical side the Handy Steno AH421 can reach read speeds of up to 17MB per second while being able to write files at a speed of 5MB per second.

Apart from the easy swivel function which lets the USB flash drive angle against the computer casing, Apacer designed this drive to work with Microsoft' Windows Vista as it is ReadyBoost enhanced allowing users to increase the relative performance of their computer systems in an easy way. Apart from compatibility with Windows Vista, the Apacer Handy Steno AH421 is also supported by most other operating systems like Windows 98SE, XP, 2000, 2003 as well as any Linux distribution based on a 2.4.0 kernel or newer and Mac OS 8.6. Coming in capacities of 1, 2 or 4GB the new Apacer flash drive is perfect for laptops as it is able to work with on a trickle of power (a maximum of 115mA) being very battery friendly.
