Special system relies on a server and a smartphone's camera

This is one of those inventions that achieve a desired effect in a roundabout enough manner that you don't need some overly sophisticated device to make it work.

Smartphones need Pico projectors if they are to, well, project an image anywhere.

Now, though, a phone doesn't have to be so complex for that, as long as you have a PC and a server to work with.

The server constantly takes screenshots of the external display and then compares them to the images that the phone's camera sends.

That way, the server tracks the so-called 'location' where the photo should be 'projected.'

This virtual projection is something that a written explanation can't accurately convey, so we'll leave you watch the video above and figure out for yourselves if there is any situation where you may want to use this technology.
