Antonio Banderas is a veteran of the perfume industry and his appeal to the public - both masculine and feminine - hasn't diminished over the years. The actor has been working with fragrance and beauty multinational company Puig for over ten years and his commercial success, personal Latino appeal and many artistic endeavors outside the big screen have turned him into one of the brand's most successful representatives. Banderas and Puig have successfully promoted a number of fragrances so far - Diavolo, Diavolo for Women, Mediterraneo, Spirit, Spirit for Women, Antonio and Blue Seduction for men. In September this year, a new fragrance is set to hit the shelves and take us ladies by storm - Blue Seduction for Women.

"Antonio Banderas Seductive fragrances are a strategic brand for Puig Beauty USA. The addition of Blue Seduction for Women, following the success of Blue Seduction for Men in 2007, will help strengthen our position in the female masstige category", stated Puig North America's general manager, Didier Maine de Biran, who has used Banderas' universal appeal to mark the merge of the company's prestige and mass market divisions under one roof. "It doesn't make sense to have mass versus prestige. There is synergy between the two", Maine de Biran explained.

The new fragrance comes in a transparent glass bottle, designed to resemble the reflection of light on water - an effect achieved by combining the color of the bottle with a sculpted base designed to resemble a mosaic tile similar to the one found at the bottom of the pool. The box is a blue turquoise, with Banderas' face stamped on one side. The fragrance itself has an overall sweet, sugary note with a fresh twist due to the combination of citrus notes and water-based fruits and violets result. The middle notes are rose and jasmine combined with raspberry and an oriental accord. Stay tuned for more news on this new fragrance - coming soon.
