Another rogue antivirus solution has been spotted by security experts from the Malware Protection Center, infecting the computers of unsuspecting user who may be duped into purchasing licenses or premium versions.

Antivirii 2011 is the name of this malicious app that keeps informing internauts on numerous Trojans, Rootkits and Backdoors that in reality don’t exist.

In order to clear the machine, the victim is required to register the application, process which at a certain point will require an amount of money.

Even though the malicious software doesn’t do anything else besides displaying false alerts, users are advised to make sure not to install any security solutions except from the ones that originate from legitimate vendors or trusted websites.

To remove Antivirii 2011, install a reliable up-to-date antivirus solution and run a full system scan.
