Diamonds are a girl’s best friends because they never go out of style or betray her. The same seems to apply to a face cream which contains diamond particles, the Judith Williams Luxury Diamond cream, which has been selling by the millions in the UK since it came out. Developed by television personality and opera singer Judith Williams, the cream contains something called Diamagen, or real diamond particles taken from the ground precious stones, the
Daily Mail informs.
It costs £29.50 ($46.3 or €33.8) a pot of 50ml and it was introduced in the UK on the shopping channel QVC a short while ago.
In less than 24 hours, over 4 million pots were sold, while another 1 million women put their name on the waiting list for when the product became available again.
In other words, this diamond-based cream promises to truly becomes a woman’s best friend, especially since it’s way cheaper than real diamonds – granted the claims it makes are founded.
“The Diamagen complex is created from particles of ground diamonds,” the Mail writes of the wonder face cream, which also contains 3 different peptides that help banish wrinkles.
“It works by targeting the base of the skin’s epidermis, where it stimulates and strengthens by boosting collagen and inhibiting the destruction of enzymes which protect against environmental damage, such as the sun’s rays,” the British publication writes.
Speaking of how she came up with the idea for the cream – and particularly of putting real diamonds in it – Williams says she wanted to use only natural ingredients.
At the same time, she aimed to create a product that was accessible to all women, despite the ingredients used.
“It’s important to me that my creams are affordable. Too many skincare lines are overpriced – for me it’s about what’s in the pot,” the Mail cites her as saying.
