Marvel made some pretty big changes to its superhero lineup, at least in the comic book part of its empire, and fans are eager to know if some of those changes are going to leak onto the big screen anytime soon.

Comicbook has spoken with Anthony Mackie, the actor who played Falcon in the last Captain America movie, and has found out that Marvel is indeed planning to replace Steve Rogers with Sam Wilson in the movie universe.

Mackie was asked if he was excited to become the new Captain America and take over the part from Chris Evans. “I don't know. I mean I'm excited about it. I think if it goes that way in the movies that it would take a long time, because there's so many evolutions before that,” he replied.

Mackie explained that he loved “seeing Chris Evans as Cap, so I feel like they can go any way they want. I'm enjoying my part beside Cap. I'm in no rush to be Cap.”

In the comic books, Bucky (The Winter Soldier) takes over Captain Duties when Rogers is presumed dead, and only after him does the role fall on Falcon's shoulders.

At the moment, Chris Evans, who has previously hinted that he plans to quit acting in the future, has three more movies under contract with Marvel, including the current “Avengers: The Age of Ultron” and the upcoming “Captain America 3.”
