Antenova Ltd., a provider of integrated antenna and RF solutions, announced having started mass production for its high performance eight-band antenna in the smallest and lightest-weight business notebook computer from the leading notebook vendors. Antenova’s full diversity eight-band antenna can offer next-generation WiMAX and Wi-Fi connectivity in addition to the 3G cellular and mobile broadband. It can also provide embedded GPS for location aware applications.

“We understand our customers’ needs for the latest technologies that deliver superior performance, quality and value,” stated Greg McCray, CEO of Antenova. “Continuing to win projects from leading global companies such as HP, Dell and Siemens is a testament to Antenova’s engineering excellence and excellent customer service.”

McCray also stated that the company would continue to work on innovating and widening the “boundaries of antenna design to offer industry leading antennas and RF solutions to meet the constantly changing market needs. The flexibility of Antenova’s highly efficient eight-band antenna provides reliable WiMAX, Wi-Fi and wireless WAN connectivity to support multiple mobile broadband network technologies and mobile operators, as well as the highly popular GPS connectivity for increasingly pervasive location applications”.

The DATANOVA mobile broadband antennas for notebook computers and ultra mobile personal computers (UMPCs) developed by Antenova are able to provide a wide range of wireless broadband connectivity options while also being capable of delivering superior performance to users. The company's antennas can offer coverage for CDMA/GSM, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, WiMAX, UWB and GPS bands in a single structure.

Manufacturers are offered the ultimate in embedded wireless connectivity through the DATANOVA antennas, which also eliminate the use of exposed or unsightly external antennas. Mobile broadband enabled notebook computers already feature DATANOVA antennas, and the same applies to UMPCs from leading vendors worldwide. The next-generation of slimmer mobile computers will be able to benefit from the ultra-thin lower profile versions of DATANOVA antennas.
