Since collaborations often work as intended, meaning that they help partners advance both of their businesses at once, Antec and Asetek teamed up for the creation of the KUHLER H2O cooler series.

Antec will combine its expertise in high-performance gaming PC components with Asetek's OEM liquid cooling components for the making of sealed liquid cooling modules.

The aforementioned KUHLER H2O series, thus, includes devices composed of cold plates, pumps and radiator fans.

"Antec's global reach and excellent reputation make them an ideal partner to bring Asetek's next generation of sealed liquid cooling technology to the DIY and system integrator markets," said Steve Branton, director of marketing at Asetek.

"From a technical perspective, we are delighted by the new levels of performance, quiet operation and just plain fun features that partnering with Antec is bringing to the new KÜHLER H2O series," he added.

"Our collaboration with Asetek demonstrates that we've taken an important step to deliver a solidly-built, trusted cooling product to our core users," stated Scott Richards, senior vice president at Antec.

"We are thrilled to release the new KÜHLER H2O series as it represents the pinnacle of joint-development efforts, and provides users with a quiet performing, easy-to-install solution -- one that offers a richer experience and that's compatible with a wide array of builds."

The first member of the collection has already been introduced, under the name of KUHLER H2O 620.

It is a so-called zero maintenance unit that utilizes Antec's Quiet Computing technology, which gives it low-noise operation and efficiency.

Its cold plate is made of copper, while its radiator fan is temperature-controlled and the pump is of the low profile variety.

Supported CPUs are those compatible with Intel's LGA 1155, LGA 775, LGA 1156 and LGA 1366, as well as AMD AM2(+) and AM3(+) ones.

No price was given, but availability is scheduled for before the ongoing month (January 2011) is out. A high-end model, KUHLER H2O 920, will follow it soon enough.
