Antec Shows 94% Efficiency in HCP-1000 Platinum 1000W PSU

Well-known Fremont, California-headquartered computer case and power supply manufacturer Antec has just announced the new High Current Pro Platinum 1000W power supply unit (PSU), on its official website.

The new PSU from Antec is designated as model HCP-1000 Platinum and is a completely modular PSU design touting a maximum 94 percent efficiency, with an impressive minimum level of 89 percent.

Antec’s High Current Pro Platinum 1000W power supply unit is cooled by a 135-millimeter double-bearing cooling fan that is automatically controlled according to the internal temperature of the PSU.

Antec claims that its new HCP-1000 Platinum PSU will actually reduce your electricity bill by up to 25 percent  when compared to regular power supplies.

The price is slated at a high £230 (€285 / $360) in Europe and, if Antec’s claims are true, we think this premium product is worth the financial effort.

The company is also proud to announce that its new High Current Pro Platinum 1000W power supply unit is available now on the Old Continent.
