Many gamers like it when their computers look as good as they run, but it's ultimately unnecessary to have many visual embellishments on the case as long as the internal hardware is good. The Antec GX500 seems to illustrate that exact point.

The case was launched some time ago, but only now it is becoming available globally.

It has a price of $50, or €48 in Europe and £44 in the United Kingdom.

It's a pretty decent price compared to the sort of chassis that top-grade systems usually end up in. Sure, there's no side window, no dock on the top and the I/O panel doesn't have anything besides the standard dual-USB 3.0 and audio connectors, but that's to be expected. Besides, everything else is covered.

As a mid-tower, it has enough space for mini-ITX, micro-ATX and ATX motherboards.

It also has five 3.5-inch drive bays, as well as a tray for a 2.5-inch SSD if you have one. One of the 3.5-inch bays is external, like the two 5.25-inch bays (for ODDs, fan controllers, water cooling systems, etc).

What's more, any graphics card can fit inside, as long as it isn't longer than 380 mm / 11 inches. As for CPUs, there's space for 158 mm tall coolers.

All in all, the Antec GX500 comes with a fair few features, and the room for cable management isn't a bad addition either.
