Since it would have been wrong to let CES 2011 pass by without doing anything, Antec decided to reveal a certain enclosure that mainstream gamers are sure to take note of, one dubbed the One Hundred.

Unlike many cases released recently, which came with myriads of convenient but not altogether necessary elements, Antec's One Hundred sticks more closely to the norm, so to speak.

While it does have an all-black coating, both on the inside and the outside, it doesn't have a compartmentalized construction or such things as removable, individual HDD trays.

Those things, as well as LED-lit fans with multiple sets of illumination, showed up in enthusiast-grade cases, like Thermaltake's Level 10 GT.

The One Hundred settled for its three exposed 5.25-inch drive bays and seven internal hard drive or solid state drive bays, one of which is for 2.5-inch units.

There is also a 140mm fan at the top, as well as a 120mm rear spinner, plus a perforated front bezel, all of these leading to better cooling than what many mid-end enclosures can brag about.

What's more, the I/O panel is built into the front of the chassis and provides the obligatory USB 2.0 ports and audio outputs.

"PC gamers and enthusiasts have reason to be excited with the release of the new One Hundred gaming case as it packs a host of useful features at an affordable price point," said Scott Richards, senior vice president at Antec.

"With the advanced airflow, upgradeability and control options, this latest addition provides the performance capabilities that the gaming community desires."

A final asset of the One Hundred, one that only has to do with aesthetics, is the all-round black coating (both inside and out).

All in all, it measures 480.5 (H) x 197.5 (W) x 477 (D) mm, has a weight of 6.9 kilograms and a price of roughly $80.
