Antec recently issued a press release in which it described the updates to four of its cases, and it seems that the Gaming Series Twelve hundred V3 is one of the products in question.

Antec is one of the few companies which, despite the general lack of any movement on the IT market, still took the time to offer something new to the consumer base.

Four cases were updated, three of them being the Performance One P183 V3, Performance one P193 V3 and the Gaming Nine Hundred Two V3.

The fourth one is the Gaming Series Twelve Hundred V3, a modified version of the Gaming Twelve Hundred, which can be seen in detail here.

It is a fairly large product, measuring 582 (H) x 213 (W) x 513 (D) mm and featuring 13 drive bays, which can be distributed in different ways depending on how many 5.25-inch or 3.5-inch bays one needs.

One of the additions is of a 2.5-inch drive bay, which should let compact SSDs (solid state drives) or small HDDs sit comfortably.

Another asset is the implementation of a CPU heatsink cut-out on the motherboard tray, meant to enable users to install large CPU coolers with backplates.

Additionally, the front panel now includes SuperSpeed USB 3.0 connectivity, meaning that even the fastest external storage devices will work at their fullest.

For those that don't remember, USB 3.0 has a theoretical maximum transfer speed of 5 Gbps, ten times that of USB 2.0 (two such ports are available, next to an eSATA connector).

Furthermore, for cooling, Antec threw in no less than five fans, all of them, save a 200mm model, with a diameter of 120mm. Three of the spinners are on the front, two at the rear and the above mentioned 200mm model is affixed to the top.

Sales of the Twelve Hundred V3 are made in exchange for the sum of $209.95.
