Works on CPUs form both AMD and Intel

Not too long ago, Antec entered the spotlight and revealed the existence of the KUHLER Flow CPU cooling module. Now, the same company has followed up with another product that is part of the same series but is more massive and is meant to drive temperatures lower that what other solutions allow. Basically, it is a, more or less, massive beast made of a combination of copper and aluminum and comes with a suitably-sized fan for heat dispersion.

The Antec KUHLER Box employs a dual-tower design meant to provide double the heat dissipation effectiveness compared to what single-tower arrays are capable of. It has no less than eight copper heatpipes that draw the heat out of the base plate and lead it into the aluminum fin array. The dissipated heat is then taken care of by a PWM fan with a size of 120mm. This fan is located at the center, right between the two towers.

All in all, the KUHLER Box measures 148 (H) x 122 (W) x 120 (D) mm and weighs a massive 1.2 kilograms. As for compatibility, end-users will be glad to know that there are no design limitations, with CPU from both Intel and AMD being on the support list. This includes Intel LGA 775, LGA 1156 and LGA 1366 processors (such as Intel Core i7, Intel Core i5, Intel Core 2 Extreme, Intel Core 2 Quad, Intel Core 2 Duo, Intel Pentium D), as well as AM2, AM2+ and AM3 chips from Advanced Micro Devices (AMD Phenom II, AMD Athlon II, AMD Sempron 100).

Not all online retailers have listed this newcomer, but those that do have it on sale pair it with a price tag of about $74. The package includes an easy installation kit and those interested may go here should they wish to place an order. The product is backed by a one-year warranty.
