Fun part is that you can make one yourself at home

The Ant-Man movie will be released this coming July, so you would think that props would only make it out afterwards, or at least wait until closer to the big day before surfacing.

Alas, fans have their own thoughts and ways of going about things, and they sometimes go ahead and create their own costumes for cosplay.

Stefanos Anagnostopoulos is the name you will all want to know. He is the man who created the Ant-Man helmet. Or a replica of the helmet.

And it's not just some cheap knockoff either. He really spent a fair bit of time on the 3D model and then on the 3D printed object itself.

And somehow, he managed to do everything except the printing in 10 hours. One hour to draw sketches of the mask, a few hours for the 3D Studio Max design work, and then he went over to Zbrush to make a DynaMesh of everything.

Seeing as how he wanted to design the helmet in a single day, we can safely say he was more than successful.

The printing took 50 hours though, and that was after a few more hours spent cutting the helmet model in smaller pieces. The Zortrax M200 printer does not have a large enough print volume to make everything in a single go. The result was awesome though.
