Another Title to Join DMC 4's PS3 Install Bench

- Hot Shots Golf requires a 5GB install, too

By: Calin Ciabai, Games Editor

People got really mad recently when they found out that the highly anticipated Devil May Cry 4 requires a 20 minutes install before playing the game to get almost nothing
instead – the loading screens take about as much as they do for the Xbox 360, no-install-required, version. Capcom's answers were not at all appreciated, having in mind that they basically said nothing but "go make a sandwich".

Well, it seems now that DMC4 won't be the only PlayStation 3 game to require a 20 minutes-and-something install, which is good for the game and probably worse for the same fans that hated the first install time in the first place. Still, the funny part comes with the game's title, which is not a Crysis-like FPS, nor a huge world RPG. It's a golf game, Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds, to be more specific. And, as sad as it might seem for some, it looks like the install process will become a natural process in the future. Tough luck!

Still, there might be a slim chance that the install process will not be required in order to play the game. According to ps3fanboy.com, they had a hands-on preview for Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds and it was not the final retail version of the game. But it had a mandatory (no, not optional) 5GB install time that took as long as the DMC4 install time. And the poor lads didn't even have a sandwich...

Hot Shots Golf will bring an entirely new element of gameplay control by introducing a shot system that focuses on the player’s swing instead of a power meter. Featuring more than 15 golfers and caddies, Hot Shots Golf adds six new courses to the overall challenge, ranging from pitch-and-putt par three layouts to challenging 18-hole configurations. And for all these, you'll probably have to eat a sandwich first.
