One of the three new phones KDDI is offering for kids

Are you exceedingly pretentious when it comes to choosing a mobile phone? Even if you are, it's very probable that you will find at least one phone provided by KDDI that will strike your interest, because they have always provided good looking mobile phones that suit everyone's needs. Also, if you have a kid that needs a mobile phone, or you actually are a kid, even better, because KDDI has something for you as well.

KDDI recently introduced a mobile phone designed especially for kids, that allows parents to find out where their kids are at all times and which is also very fun to use. Now you know how Asian parents are, always trying to equip their children with mobile phones with limitations and built-in GPS, and the A5523T provides all this.

The clamshell is manufactured by Toshiba and is considerably less colorful than all of the mobile phones for kids out there. In fact, I'm pretty sure that, when you found out this mobile phone was for kids, you were expecting it to be pink, purple or bright yellow. The phone features a 1.3 megapixel camera, a 2.4 inch main screen with a QVGA resolution as well as an external display, IrDa, 30MB internal memory, easily expandable with the help of a MicroSD card slot and the EZ FM service (FM radio).

The phone is not exactly lightweight at 114 grams, but not inconvenient to carry around either, and looking on the bright side, a slightly bulkier phone is more difficult to misplace or loose. KDDI's A5523T will only be available in Asia, as usual, and I'm still waiting for someone to explain why exactly Asian people get all the nice and smart mobile phones.
