If so, the leading character Cole won't have the same voice actor

Infamous proved to be a great game and, like any good company, Sony won't let any opportunity go to waste. Cole, the protagonist of the game, received very decent voice acting and even if the voice actor wasn't showered with compliments, he didn't really receive any complaints either. Still, it seems he won't be making a comeback in the possible sequel for the game, as, according to G4, the developers of Infamous, Sucker Punch, appear to be holding some sort of auditions for the part of Cole.

The basis of this information seems to have its origins in Twitter, like any good rumor of the past months. Apparently, Actor David Sullivan posted on a Twitter page that he would be part of the auditions for the casting of Cole in an upcoming game. "First voiceover/motion capture audition today for a video game. Re-casting of Cole in the sequel of Infamous. 'I'll melt your face.'"

This would come to confirm both the existence of a new installment for Infamous but also that Cole might receive a new voice. The actor has already received the support of some of the crew that voiced the first game. Yvette Nicole Brown, the one who gave Mora a voice in Infamous, replied that "I hope you get it, you'd be a great 'Cole'!!!" Brown is currently engaged in NBC's Community as Shirley and even if she didn't mention anything about another Infamous game, it could be just that her character won't be involved in the story anymore.

Sony had nothing to comment on this and not only that they haven't announced a new voice casting audition for the role of Cole, but they haven't even announced an Infamous 2. It would seem that this is another case of a celebrity jumping the gun and letting fans know something that wasn't supposed to reach their ears just yet. Protocols and marketing strategies are rigid and confining boundaries that go against the very nature of an artist.
