Another Hollywood Divorce, This Time Is Johnny Knoxville

After 12 years of marriage and an 11-year-old daughter, the actor is calling it quits

Johnny Knoxville is again single...who's looking?

It seems that lately the music bands are reuniting, the female singers are getting pregnant, and the male celebrities are filing for divorce. Such is the case of "Jackass" star Phillip John Clapp (aka Johnny Knoxville).

Why is this guy filing for divorce? Is it because he has found somebody better? Criss Angel is the perfect example as he is dumping his wife for Cameron Diaz. Well, maybe Johnny did find somebody else, or maybe not, but he is citing irreconcilable differences between him and Melanie Lynn Clapp, after just about 12 years of marriage.

One interesting aspect of the matter is the fact that the two have not signed any prenup agreement; therefore, Johnny can do whatever he wants with his fortune. However, the daring actor has already declared that he wants to pay an unspecified sum of money for child support and is requesting joint legal and physical custody of his daughter, whose name (Madison) he has tattooed across his chest.

This does not come as such a big surprise. The couple have separated since last year in July and have the papers to prove it. As for the reasons why they are splitting up after 12 years, there have been rumors about a fling that Johnny had with Jessica Simpson. The two worked together on the movie "The Dukes of Hazzard" in 2005, and the media claims that they had an affair at the time. They both denied such speculation, which is understandable since they were both still ("happily") married. Jessica Simpson had not yet divorced Nick Lachey at the time.

Then, Knoxville dismissed the accusations, by claiming that such allegations are hurting his wife and 11-year-old daughter. Well, just one year after this scandal was over, so was his marriage.
