Anonymous hackers have initiated a campaign called OpBBC. They plan on protesting against the British Broadcasting Corporation on June 1, 2013.

The hacktivists accuse the BBC of a number of things, including being “tax dodgers.”

“It has come to our attention that the British Broadcasting Corporation has become less and less trustworthy in recent times,” the initiators of the operation OpBBC said in a statement.

“As British Citizens we are made to pay £145.50 license fee per year for the provision of good quality advert free entertainment and news. The BBC have forced students and members of the armed forces to buy TV licenses when they are living away from their family homes creating more revenue from many thousands of people.”

The hackers have issued their own video, but they also provide links to a number of other YouTube videos that allegedly unmask the BBC’s illegal activities.
