The individuals from “PayPal 14” – a group of activists accused of launching the 2010 cyberattacks against PayPal after the company refused to continue processing donations for WikiLeaks – are due in court on May 14.

Anonymous hacktivists have released a statement in which they urge everyone to go to the San Francisco Federal Court on May 14, at 9:30 AM, to show support for the defendants.

“Please come show your support for whistleblowers, First Amendment Rights and their heroic defenders. Bring your mask…and maybe a sign,” the hackers stated.

This is not the first time when Anonymous shows support for the PayPal 14 in this manner. On March 1, they carried out similar protests.

If in the US the trial is still ongoing, in the UK, a number of individuals accused of taking part in the attacks against PayPal have already been convicted.
