Anonymous hackers have revealed their plans to initiate the second phase of Operation Digiturk, a campaign that’s meant as a protest against the website blockades instated by Turkish communications company Digiturk.

“In the last few months DIGITURK has blocked sites like pastebin.com or blogger.com and decided with this to restrict the free flow of information. The internet should be a platform which is far from authority’s interference. This is an attack on free expression and free information,” the hacktivists stated.

“DIGITURK and Turkeys Information Technologies and Communications Authority, ICA, know from personal experience, how it is when the free flow of information is stopped. Whoever attempts to silence people by using censorship, commits a human rights violation. DIGITURK, we will no longer let you terrorize the internet.”

The first phase of OpDigiturk made victims such as Turkey’s Information Technologies and Communications Authority and the Prime Minister’s office.
